Temperament

Goldens are friendly, smart and eager to please. They make excellent companions, service dogs, and family members.

Size

Goldens are not small dogs. AKC standard for a Golden is between 23-24 inches (male), 21.5-22.5 inches (female) and 65-75 pounds (male), 55-65 pounds (female).

Lifespan

With proper care Goldens average between 10 and 12 years, but many of my buyers have had Goldens that have lived 14 to 16 years!

Shedding

Golden’s do shed, but the majority of it is seasonal. Normally, a good brush down is required once or twice a week, but during seasonal changes, a quick brush may be required daily.
